A new year means tons of great new books. Here are some that I'm looking forward to reading (and buying) in 2010.
The Heart Is Not a Size by Beth Kephart (already read and loved!), Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan, Every Little Thing In the World by Nina de Gramont (already read and loved!)
The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong, Linger by Maggie Stiefvater, The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting (already read and loved!)
What's on your 2010 book wishlist?
A note about buying books...
Between my job and this blog, I get a ton of books for free, but I also buy a ton of books. I've already read three of the above books in advance reader copy form. However, when those books hit the shelves, I will buy at least one copy of every one. Why? Because I love books and I think it's important to support the authors of my favorite books. As Beth Kephart recently said on her blog, "I believe in books, and I will pay to keep them coming." Of course, this also means that I'm doing a good job of keeping the bookshelf manufacturing companies in business, too. :)

The Body Finder seems really good! Can't wait for it to be released!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for a lot of books, but the one I'm anticipating most would be the last book of the Hunger Games!
I'm definately lusting after The Body Finder and Linger. I also can't wait for Hunger Games 3 and Before I fall (and about 50 other books!!)

I definitely want Linger. I'm so excited for that one. I just went book shopping...you can see my list right now over at my blog. I love buying books and always do when I can.

I'm so excited for a lot of these. I also buy finished copies of the books I read and loved in ARC form.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I read so many books that I started keeping a running wishlist on myregistry.com of books that I want so that anyone who feels like being generous can help fuel my reading addiction (ahem, that means you mom)! I just added The Body Finder after reading this post!
ReplyDeleteI agree -- you've got to support the authors to keep the books coming. You've got a great wishlist here and I'm looking forward to each and every one of them, too!
ReplyDeleteTerrific list, and it's wonderful that you support the authors you enjoy buy purchasing their books. I'm sure the gesture is much appreciated! I feel very much the same way you do. I'm a heavy library user, but I won't hesitate to purchase a personal copy of a book I've read and loved.
ReplyDeleteAwesome list! I'm anxious to read all of those as well!
